Ergonomics in Ergo deals with planning, implementing and assimilating optimal interfaces between the employee and the system that he operates, and the environment in which he operates. Ergo – a multi-disciplinary consulting group – sees the integration of ergonomic aspects as an important advantage in the creation of an effective work system, aimed at improving output and achieving the organization's business objectives. In order to attain this, Ergo acts towards the integration of ergonomic knowledge and ergonomic planning principles in the engineering planning process (Industrial Engineering and Management/Organization and Methods), out of consideration of the employee's importance within the organization, his personal development, his health and his wellbeing. Ergo examines its success in ergonomics through the use of performance measures, process times, learning time, quality measures, rates of injury, accidents, complaints of aches of the skeletal muscles, days of absence and employee satisfaction. Ergo has been active in the field of ergonomics in Israel for over 20 years. The company offers its customers specialists with high levels of professional knowledge, an extensive academic background and exhaustive experience in ergonomic implementation in organizations throughout all sectors of the market, both in Israel, and abroad.
Ergonomics in Ergo includes a number of knowledge fields: - Biomechanics – forces and loads acting on the employee in the various work positions
- Entropometry - the dimensions of the human body and their effect on planning work stations and engineering systems
- Job Physiology – the effect of the job and the environmental conditions on the performance of the various bodily systems
- Cognition – the employee's abilities and limitations in understanding, learning, memory and decision making
- Motivation – factors influencing employee drive
Ergo implements these fields integratively in the planning of the human-machine-environment interface, according to the needs of the various projects. |
