The Ergonomics field

Ergonomics is a science which discusses the inter-relations between man and his environment. Ergonomics contributes to the development and design of tasks, missions, products and systems in order to adapt them to the user’s needs, according to their abilities and disabilities.
Ergonomic considerations are an integral aspect when planning a working area. Whether in the office or in the industry one must take into consideration the ergonomic aspect. Ergonomists seek to find solutions that will answer the workers specific demands. The purpose of an Ergonomist  is to create a comfortable healthy and safer environment that will potentially increase the efficiency of the worker which  will prevent damage in the foreseeable and distant future.

Course goals

Supplying professionals from related fields such as medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, industrial design, physical education industrial engineering management, safety personals and architecture, with the tools to identify ergonomic hazards in different work environments, to assess them and to supply manners in which to solve them, in order to increase the workers efficiency and in order to prevent work related injuries.

Learning at the highest of levels

The Academy for Physical Education and Sport in the Wingate College, in corporation with Zvika Kats and Ergotime Ltd.,have built a unique course that combines contents from a large variety of sciences, all which are directly related to the science of ergonomics (medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, industrial engineering management, safety personals, optometry, biomechanics, psychology design, physical education and architecture.).  The teaching staff  within the course is composed of  the finest of lecturers in their fields, all having practical experience;  due to this fact the learning experience is practically a tangible one. The objective of the course is to expose the participants to a wide variety of aspects within the ergonomic science.
