Transportation is a challenging area for ergonomics and human factors engineering. The modern society is highly dependent on safe and regular transportation. Lately, many new technologies emerged in this field aiming to achieve this by improving the connection between the technology the human operator.

The Israeli Ergonomics Society will have a conference on Human factors in transportation on April 15, 2010 hosted by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
